Privacy Policy
How GLOBAL DUKAN LTD handles your enquiries, project plans, cookies and privacy requests.
Donson Estimating Pro is a trading name of GLOBAL DUKAN LTD, registered in Scotland under company number SC876088. GLOBAL DUKAN LTD is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. This policy explains our handling of enquiries, project documents, cookies and privacy requests.
Contacting us about privacy
Our registered office is Office 1448, 3 Fitzroy Place, 1/1 Sauchiehall Street, Finnieston, Glasgow Central, United Kingdom, G3 7RH. Telephone: +44 7311 127400. Use the Contact Us form and include “Privacy request” in the subject to ask about your information. Where possible, contact us using the email address linked to your original enquiry.
Information you provide
Contact and quote requests can contain your name, email address, mobile number, company, project description, location, deadline and requested services. You may also attach drawings, specifications or other files. Quote requests can be submitted without plans or a phone number. Newsletter subscriptions store the email address you supply. Administrator accounts have separate login and activity records.
Only include personal or confidential information necessary for the enquiry. Remove unnecessary identifying details from drawings and obtain permission before sharing another person's information. We do not ask for payment-card details, identity documents or sensitive personal information through the public quote form.
Technical and security records
Website operations may produce request timestamps, browser information, server logs and connection records. The application's abuse prevention stores an IP-address hash rather than a plain IP address in its rate-limit table. Hosting and third-party providers can maintain their own operational logs. Essential session cookies help validate submissions and protect administrator access.
How and why we use information
We use enquiry information to respond to questions, review scope, prepare a requested quotation and discuss the next steps. Accepted work may require project records for service delivery and administration. Security records support abuse prevention and investigation. Marketing subscriptions are separate from contact and quote requests; sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Where UK data protection law applies, quotation and service communications may rely on requested pre-contract steps or contract performance. Reasonable business administration and website security may rely on legitimate interests. Optional analytics and subscribed marketing use consent where required. Particular records may need processing to meet a legal obligation. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Access and sharing
Submitted plans are stored outside public download access and require an authenticated administrator with the relevant enquiries permission. Hosting, database, email and other service providers may process information necessary to operate the website or fulfil your request. Access should be limited to the required purpose. We do not sell your enquiry details or uploaded plans. Disclosures may be required by law or in connection with legal claims.
Cookies and optional analytics
Essential cookies and browser storage support secure forms, login sessions and saved preferences. If optional analytics are configured, they load only after you select Allow analytics. Essential only leaves the main website and forms available. Cookie settings let you change the saved choice. You can also remove stored choices using browser controls. Blocking all cookies may interfere with secure submissions or administrator sign-in.
Google Maps and external links
Our location cards embed Google Maps and provide external map links. Selecting Load Google Map connects your browser to Google, which can receive technical information including your IP address and browser details. Google controls that service under its own privacy and cookie policies. Page typography uses Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and browser details when font resources load. Google’s terms and privacy policies apply to those resources. External websites operate independently. You can restrict third-party content through your browser, although maps may then be unavailable.
Retention
The appropriate retention depends on the purpose and project relationship. Enquiries remain relevant while a response, quotation or reasonable follow-up is needed. Project records may be retained for contract administration, accounting obligations or potential claims. Security records support operational protection and investigations; temporary rate-limit records are cleared after their short operational period. Subscription information remains relevant until withdrawal or closure. Legal obligations or disputes can justify longer retention. Contact us to ask about the retention applicable to a specific record. Deletion from backups can follow the hosting provider's backup cycle.
Security and international processing
Access permissions, hashed administrator passwords, input checks and restricted project-file downloads help protect records. HTTPS should protect the live website connection. Internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed completely risk free. Hosting, email and external providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the relevant provider arrangements must include appropriate contractual or other recognised safeguards. Ask us if you need information about the providers handling your enquiry.
Your rights and requests
Depending on the applicable law and processing, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to particular processing. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Rights can be limited by legal obligations or other lawful grounds. We may request proportionate information to establish identity before releasing records. Explain the information and action involved through Contact Us. Do not send identity documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
Children and complaints
This site is intended for construction professionals and people arranging construction services. If a child has submitted unnecessary personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed. Please raise privacy concerns with our team first. Where UK law applies, you may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. Other countries can have their own supervisory authorities.
Policy updates
We may revise this policy when services, website functions or processing arrangements change. The current version appears on this page. Last updated: 30 September 2026.
